Hair Restoration Treatment in

Redondo Beach, CA

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is one of the most clinically supported, non-surgical solutions for hair thinning and hair loss available today. Using the growth factors naturally found in your own blood, PRP stimulates dormant hair follicles, strengthens existing strands, and promotes new, healthy hair growth — without downtime, surgery, or synthetic chemicals.

At Uplifted Aesthetics, our PRP hair restoration treatments are performed by Hula Castellon, FNP, MSN, an advanced injector and nationally recognized aesthetic trainer with a precision-first approach to natural results. Whether you're experiencing early thinning or more progressive hair loss, PRP offers a scientifically backed path forward that works with your body's own biology.

What Is PRP?

Platelet-Rich Plasma is derived from a small sample of your own blood. That sample is placed into a centrifuge, which spins it at high speed to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the rest of the blood components.

The resulting PRP contains a concentrated dose of platelets — specialized cells packed with growth factors that play a critical role in tissue repair, cellular regeneration, and collagen stimulation.

When injected directly into the scalp at the level of the hair follicle, these growth factors stimulate weakened or dormant follicles, increase blood supply to the scalp, and extend the active growth phase (anagen phase) of the hair cycle. The result is visibly thicker, denser hair over a series of treatments.

PRP is safe for both men and women and is an effective option for androgenetic alopecia (pattern hair loss), stress-related shedding, postpartum hair loss, and general hair thinning.

What to Expect: The PRP Hair Restoration Process

Recommended Protocol: For best results, we recommend an initial series of 3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions every 4–6 months.

To maintain results most clients take her vitamins, such as Nutrafol. Nutrafol a clinically studied hair growth nutraceutical formulated to address the root causes of thinning from within

Step 1 — Consultation The process starts with a consultation with Hula to assess your hair loss pattern, scalp health, and candidacy for PRP. We'll review your goals, medical history, and recommend a personalized treatment protocol.

Step 2 — Blood Draw A small amount of blood — typically around 20–30mL — is drawn from your arm, similar to a routine lab draw. The process takes only a few minutes.

Step 3 — Centrifugation & Custom Blend

Your blood is spun in a medical-grade centrifuge to isolate and concentrate the Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF). Hula then combines the PRF with liquid biotin and amniotic fluid — a proprietary treatment blend developed through her own clinical protocol — to maximize growth factor delivery and follicle stimulation beyond what standard PRP alone provides.

Step 4 — Extended Numbing for Maximum Comfort

An extra-strength numbing cream is applied across the scalp and left on for a full hour. To enhance absorption and effectiveness, the scalp is wrapped in plastic, creating a gentle sauna effect that drives the numbing agent deeper into the tissue. This step sets Uplifted apart; we don't rush comfort.

Step 5 — Micro-Stamping (Superficial Layer)

Using a micro-stamping technique, Hula first delivers the custom blend into the superficial layer of the scalp. This targets the upper portion of the hair follicles, stimulating the cells responsible for hair growth from the outside in and priming the scalp to absorb the treatment at a deeper level.

Step 6 — Deeper Injection (Follicle Level)

Following the micro-stamp, Hula injects the remaining blend with a fine needle at a deeper level, reaching the dermal papilla where true follicle regeneration occurs. This two-phase delivery method ensures comprehensive stimulation from the surface down to the root.

Step 7 — Post-Treatment Care

There is no downtime. Most clients return to normal activities immediately. Mild redness or tenderness at the treatment site may be present for 24–48 hours. We'll send you home with specific aftercare instructions to protect and maximize your results.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Am I a good candidate for PRP hair restoration?

PRP works best for individuals in the early to moderate stages of hair thinning or loss. Ideal candidates include those experiencing androgenetic alopecia, stress-related shedding, or postpartum hair loss.

During your consultation, Hula will assess your scalp and hair loss pattern to determine whether PRP is the right approach for you.

  • How soon will I see results?

Most clients begin noticing a reduction in shedding within the first 4–6 weeks. Visible improvements in density and thickness typically appear between 3–6 months, with continued progress after completing the full initial series. Hair growth is a gradual process — consistency with your recommended treatment schedule is key.

  • How many treatments do I need?

We recommend starting with 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart to establish a strong foundation of follicle stimulation. Maintenance treatments every 4–6 months help sustain and build on your results long-term.

  • Is there any downtime after PRP?

There is no required downtime. You can return to your regular routine the same day. We recommend avoiding washing your hair for 24 hours post-treatment and steering clear of strenuous exercise for the remainder of the day.

  • How does PRP differ from other hair loss treatments?

Unlike medications such as minoxidil or finasteride, PRP uses your body's own growth factors — making it a completely natural, biocompatible therapy with no systemic side effects. It also addresses the root issue at the follicle level rather than simply slowing loss, and it can be used alongside other treatments for enhanced results.
